Year of Establishment The Establishment refers to an Allowance Letter from Indonesian General Director of Higher Education on 17 September 2009. Operational activities effectively started in July 2010

Learning Outcomes The study program is formed in such a way with the aim of producing graduates with competencies in terms of their attitude, generic skills, specific skills and knowledge as follows:

Admissions Indonesian Student. Graduated from Senior High School or Equivalent
Study Period Undergraduate Degree 4 Years (8 Semesters)
Minimum Credits and Conditions Total of 144 credits (132 compulsory credits, 12 elective credits) before reaching the maximum time to complete college, which is seven years of study.

A minimum of 144 credits can be completed in 4 years. The fast-track curriculum can be taken by students who can complete their studies in 3.5 years.

Program Structure and Content Program structure and content is represented by the current curriculum structure in general as follows:

  1. General Education covers compulsory national subjects in semester 1 and 2 such as Pancasila, Religion and Indonesian Language, as well as basic mathematics such as Calculus and Linear Algebra.
  2. Core Courses include basic courses in the field of Informatics, which are distributed in semesters 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  3. Lab work includes skills to support core courses and must be taken by students from semester 1 to semester 6 (1 lab work per semester).
  4. Advanced Course and Elective includes advanced courses in the field of Informatics engineering. This category contains several groups of elective subjects, namely:
    1. Artificial Intelligence,
    2. Human Informatics,
    3. Big Data,
    4. Information Systems,
    5. Distributed Systems, and Software Development,

which can be taken in semesters 5, 6 and 7. The elective courses are also structured using spiral curriculum models that involve graded complexity levels.

  1. Work Skills includes work preparation courses in semester 6 and 7 to equip students with the basic skills needed by the world of work when they graduate.
  2. Field Works includes courses in Field Works (KKT) and Internships which must be taken by students in semester 7.
  3. Research and Project consist of a research preparation course in semester 6 and a final project in semester 8 which is compulsory to finish the whole study program.

Academic Staff (Faculty Member) Overall, there are 38 academic staff in the Faculty of Engineering consisting of:

  • 6 teachers with PhD
  • 32 teachers with Master’s Degree
Facilities Classrooms

  • There are 17 rooms that are actively used by the study program in the lecture process. The rooms consist of eight lecture rooms with a capacity of approximately 30 people, 4 project rooms, 4 laboratory rooms and a lecture hall with a capacity of 150 people. The Informatics Engineering Study Program also uses the ICT centre facility which has 3 computer rooms with a capacity of approximately 50 computers / room.

Laboratories

  • There are 7 laboratories consist of:
    • 4 main laboratories representing areas of expertise in the Informatics Engineering study program which are Software Engineering, Data Systems, Multimedia and Information Communication Technology and Cybersecurity.
    • 3 supporting laboratory rooms. These laboratories consist of two supporting laboratory rooms, to accommodate large classes of courses. And a multimedia studio room which is usually used for creating multimedia-based learning content.
  • The laboratories also supported by Amazon Web Service Educate and Oracle Academy to support virtual activities in practicum, laboratory activities or any research project.

Libraries

  • The University Library has a library room with a capacity of 100 people and an e-library room that has approximately 50 computers with an internet connection that can be used to access more than 5,000 electronic resources in the form of collections of textbooks, journals, proceedings and theses.
  • The faculty library room with air-conditioned room facilities, Wi-Fi internet connection, a number of tables and chairs equipped with desktop PCs for library visitors so they can access online literature including resources from the university library.
  • The informatics engineering study program also has a reference corner consisting of a collection of hardcopy literature belonging to lecturers.

Information System and E-Learning

  • A one stop access for students called Portal INSPIRE (https://inspire.unsrat.ac.id) to support various academic and administrative activities including the integration of following items.
  • E-Learning (https://elearning.unsrat.ac.id/), Integrated Work Lectures (KKT) http://ekkt.unsrat.ac.id/, UNSRAT’s Online Research and Community Service (https://research.unsrat.ac.id/), Electronic Academic Journal (https://ejournal.unsrat.ac.id/) and Helpdesk (https://helpdesk.unsrat.ac.id/ ), etc.
  • The google classroom platform can also be utilized using the UNSRAT email account. The e-learning is used by lecturers to develop the teaching and learning process using the blended learning method.
  • More broadly, the students can also take advantage of the Indonesian MOOCs, SPADA (http://spada.ristekdikti.go.id) in the learning process, where the e-learning course can come from lecturers from outside UNSRAT.
  • Provide Students with cloud-based productivity software using software packages from Google.

Psychological and Social Spaces

  • There is a creative room to encourage collaboration and cooperation between fellow students and between lecturers and students.
